Philately and Animals

On this page you will see animal-themed philatelic materials, which will be made available to the Museum of Zoology.

The Museum has no philately specialists and since the material published here is designed not only for philatelic experts but also usable to a general public, we are open to any external contribution to identify and promote the philatelic series and individual stamps published here. Feel free to send an email to muszool@unict.it with your indications and identifications (year, country, name of the species, etc.). We will take care to put the exact captions for each of the elements of the photo gallery

Let's start with a donation made to our museum by Lorenzo Nuozzi, a 26-year-old university student from Montenero di Bisaccia (Campobasso) who is completing his Biology studies at Unimol that, while organising his stamp collection, found these Russian stamps depicting some animals present in the territory of the former Soviet Union and kindly donated them to our museum.
